❤The Handicap Buns

Rabbits with disabilities, whether physical or mental, are wonderful creatures who teach us time and time again that disabilities don't prevent them from leading happy and fulfilling lives. These special rabbits have remarkable adaptability and are always finding innovative ways to explore and interact with their surroundings, even if they struggle with mobility issues or other disabilities. With their unique needs, disabled rabbits encourage us to be imaginative and find creative solutions to provide them with a comfortable and enriching life. They inspire us with their courage and positivity. Despite their personal challenges, they often radiate joy and a zest for life, which shows us how important it is to enjoy life to the fullest. Restricted rabbits remind us that everyone has value and deserves love and care. They teach us compassion, patience and the beauty of diversity within animals and like any pet deserve a loving home.

  • Anton (38mm high):
A white ex-lab rabbit with a traumatic past. A lot of patience, love and sensitivity is required here.

  • Bina (35mm high):
She became blind in both eyes at a young age, and her owners must ensure that only minimal changes are made to the furnishings in their enclosure.

  • Cleo (38mm high):
Some time ago, she was diagnosed with E. cuniculi, a protozoan parasitic obligate to live intracellularly in the kidney, brain and other organs, which severely affects the nervous system. Otitis was ruled out.

  • Ella (38mm high):
Several recurring abscesses at the base of her ears made it necessary to remove the entire ear. Now she is finally living abscess-free.

  • Ferdinand (40mm high):
Also E. Cuniculi patient, slowly going blind in both eyes. When the eye pressure increased enormously and they even started to fester, his vet decided to remove both eyes. Ferdi can finally lead a happy, pain-free life.

  • Theo (40mm high):
A complicated, inoperable fracture made it necessary to amputate his front left paw. Now he can finally jump around again without pain and a hanging paw.

  • Winnie (40mm high):
A fall damaged Winnie's spine, which is why he can no longer move his hind legs. He is still young and full of energy, even with daily physical exercises he seems to be making progress.
